jivane marane gati aro nahi mora

Jugal means two, the divine couple, Sri Sri Radha and Krishna, are my life and soul. In life or death I have no other refuge but Them.

In this dhama also Radha Krsna lila takes place. Who is Radha in this dhama?? Caitanya Mahaprabhu looks like a man but bhava is of Radharani.

To understand the bhava of Radha Rani is the confidential reason of Caitanya Mahaprabhu’s appearance. How does She feel when She sees Krsna?? What emotions does She experience? So Caitanya Mahaprabhu thought let Me become Radha to understand it.

We also sing,

yadi gaura na hoito, tabe ki hoito, kemane dharita de?
radhara mahima, prema-rasa-sima jagate janata ke

If Caitanya Mahaprabhu was not there, how the world would know the  glories of Radha Rani? He became Radha and stayed as Radha in Jagannath Puri. The world then could know about the glories of Radha Rani. Sukhdev Goswami could not glorify Radha Rani in  Srimad Bhagavatam. But Caitanya Caritamrita is filled with Her glories.

Prabhupada used to say Srimad Bhagavatam studying is graduation. But studying Caitanya Caritamrita is post graduation. Madhuraya rasa is described in Caitanya Caritamrita. Caitanya Mahaprabhu relishes madhurya rasa.

anarpita-carim cirat karunayavatirnah kalau
samarpayitum unnatojjvala-rasam sva-bhakti-sriyam (Vidagdha-madhava (1.2))

Caitanya Mahaprabhu appeared in this Age of Kali to exhibit the superexcellence of madhurya-rasa, a gift never previously bestowed by any acarya or incarnation. Consequently Caitanya Mah?prabhu is accepted as the most magnanimous incarnation. It is He only who distributed love of Krsna while exhibiting the superexcellence of loving Krsna in the conjugal rasa.

jaya jayojjwala-rasa, sarva-rasa-sar

To offer the ujjwal rasa that is madurya rasa Caitanya Mahaprabhu comes. He distributes the madhurya rasa in Jagannath Puri. Caitanya Mahaprabhu relishes the  madhurya of Vrindavan in Jagannath Puri. Vrindravan is madhurya dhama and Mayapur is audarya dhama.

Hare Krsna means Radha Krsna. Radha Krsna means madhurya rasa. This is above all the rasa. Caitanya Mahaprabhu in this dhama practically became Radha. His behaviour, His bhava was like Radha. From  Gambhira comes gambir word, Lord is also dhira gambhir. Vishvambhar stayed here and searched Krsna all over. Sri Krsna is sitting in ratha during ratha yatra and Caitanya Mahaprabhu is in Radha bhava. He participated for 18 years in ratha yatra. Caitanya Mahaprabhu was always in front of the ratha during ratha yatra. Jagannath would keep looking at Caitanya Mahaprabhu and He saw Radha rani. Kirtan nrutya is going on.

Radha Krsna pran Mora…

Hare Krsna we chant this and they are our Prana. Krsna is prana of Radha and Radha is pran of Krsna. And Jagannath’s full concentration is on Radha Rani.

Jagannath ji kept looking at Radha rani. Like they are meeting after a long time.

Tava katha amritam tapta jivanam

With the pain of separation when Radha and the Gopis hear Krsna katha then they get some relief.

Krsna had sent message to all Vrajvasis, “Dwarka is far away for you. So why not meet at Kurukshetra?” So all Gopis and Radha went to Kurukshetra. So when they met there after 70- 80 years, the Vrajavasis went with sankalpa that once we meet Krsna and Balarama, we will bring them to Vrindavan. They will all come in ratha. We villagers will go in bullock cart. So when we meet, they will be on their rath, so we will pull that ratha and bring them to Vrindavan.

In one tent Dwarkavasi were sitting. And mother Rohini describes the stories of separation of Vrajavasis from Krsna. Rohini while describing thought that Krsna, Balarama may come to hear the Katha and they will not be able to digest the katha. They may get bewildered and become sad when they hear the painful stories of seperation of Vrajavasis. So Subhadra was kept on the door to stop Krsna and Balarama from coming.

So when Krsna and Balarama came, Subhadra tried to stop Them but They did not stop. So all the three started hearing the painful stories of Vrajavasis. Rohini had already said that they will not be able to bear the pain of Vrajavasis. The same happened and that time Krsna Balarama and Subhadra became this form of Jagannath Puri. So when they heard how the Vrajavasis loved them, it was like an eye opener. They had never thought that the Vrajavasis loved them so much.

As they heard their eyes became bigger and bigger and their hands went inside, like the tortoise takes his hands and legs inside. Eyes became big and now we can’t hear more so they blocked their ears. This was the condition of Krsna Balaram. The Lord meditates on the devotion of His devotees and these changes come into His body. Caitanya Mahaprabhu also had such changes in His body in Jagannath Puri.

When Caitanya Mahaprabhu left from Gambhira in search of Krsna, Rai Ramananda used to recite Srimad Bhagavatam, Krsna Karnamrita and Govinda Geet for Him. Svarupa Damodhar used to sing for Caitanya Mahaprabhu. He used to sing understanding the bhava of Caitanya Mahaprabhu. Gambhira is a small place so only limited people could be there. So Rai Ramananda and Svarupa Damodhar used to go. They are Lalita and Vishaka, the friends of Radha. Caitanya Mahaprabhu is Radha and Svarupa Damodhar is Lalita and Ramananda Rai is Vishaka.After hearing from them Caitanya Mahaprabhu used to rest but did not sleep. Astakalin Lila’s are always going on. Like that Radha Rani as Caitanya Mahaprabhu alone would keep performing kirtan.

Hare Krsna… Oh Radhe Oh Krsna Caitanya Mahaprabhu is calling. He wants to meet Krsna.

Commentary on Hare Krsna mantra is written by our Acarya Gopal Guru Goswami. He was the associate of Caitanya Mahaprabhu and was from Jagannath Puri. 16 names in each mantra.. He explains the meaning of each name. One of them is Maya saha ramasva. Caitanya Mahaprabhu while doing kirtan would start crying. If He did not find Krsna, He would bang His head on the walls of Gambhira. He would leave in middle of the night, so devotees locked the doors. But He is Krsna. Who can lock Him?

Ha ha Krsna.. Where are you?? Saying this He would run. Once He reached a goshala near Jagannath temple. Seeing cows He thought it’s vrindavan, oh then Gopal must be around and He fell down. His head went inside and the joints of body separated out of love for the Lord. He became Kurma like  tortoise.

Govind was his personal servant. He was Caitanya Mahaprabhu’s god brother but his guru Isvara puri before his tirobhava told govind, “Oh Govind, you go to Jagannath Puri to serve Caitanya Mahaprabhu. Caitanya Mahaprabhu said, “No, No, we are God-brothers. I can’t take your seva.” Govinda said, “But its desire of our Gurudev.”

At siddha bakul Caitanya Mahaprabhu had sent prasad of Jagannath. Govind came with prasadam. So he is in service of Caitanya Mahaprabhu. Once in gambhira Caitanya Mahaprabhu was lying down. Govind was going to do seva but as Caitanya Mahaprabhu was lying on the way, he covered Caitanya Mahaprabhu’s body with a cloth and crossed him, served him and sat there. Caitanya Mahaprabhu got up and said, “Oh! What are you doing here? Why didn’t you go for prasad? Govind said, “How can I cross your body?” Caitanya Mahaprabhu said, “But you came inside.” Govind said, “That was for your seva. For my own self I can’t cross your body.”

Once Caitanya Mahaprabhu was not there in Gambhira, so all associates started searching Him. So while searching they went to goshala and found Him in a different state. Once again while searching Caitanya Mahaprabhu all of them went to the beach. When Caitanya Mahaprabhu saw the sea, He said Yamuna maiya ki jai and entered the sea. In night so many fisher men are busy with their work. One fisher man thought oh golden fish I have caught. As he tried to lift Caitanya Mahaprabhu, he got scared and shouted, “Oh! Oh!! ghost.”

So the associates went on sea searching Caitanya Mahaprabhu and on the way they asked this Fisher man. He said, “No, No. I have not seen Caitanya Mahaprabhu.”  Fisher man told them that he got ghost while fishing. The associates understood that He was Caitanya Mahaprabhu.

Jagannath Puri is like a sankha, also called as sankha setra. So flowing in the sea Caitanya Mahaprabhu went to Konark. He is the Lord and does not need air to breath. His body is not made of earth, water, fire, ether.

Krsna, Balarama while searching the son of Sandipani, entered the sea and They did not enter with oxygen cylinder. They remaind in water for a long time. Understand this. Understanding this is also knowing Krsna. So during ratha yatra Jagannathji’s full concentration is at Caitanya Mahaprabhu. *Jagannath temple is Kurukshetra or Dwarka and Gundicha temple is vrindavan. So the devotees pull Jagannath Baladev and Subhadra to Vrindavan.

Gaudiya Vaishnavas can understand this. Caitanya Mahaprabhu, Radha rani is meeting Krsna after a long time. So does He love me the same as before? Let’s see whether the love is decreased. So Caitanya Mahaprabhu as Radha goes to back of Ratha. So if He loves me as before, the ratha will stop and He will start searching me. So as Radharani goes back, the ratha stops. To pull the ratha a lot of efforts were put but the Ratha did not budge even an Inch. Movement of ratha depends on Jagannath. Where is Radha? Where is Radha? So as Caitanya Mahaprabhu comes in front, the ratha moves on. Radha says, “Oh! Krsna has passed the test.” Hari Bol.

 “Jagannath swami nayana patha gami bhava tume”

Oh Lord come on the path of vision of my eyes. Krsna also thinks the same, “Oh! Radha come on the path of vision of my eyes.”

So as Radha comes, the Lord thinks, Hari Bol! Radha has come and He starts moving. Without Radha He does not want to move. Some times lot of load is put on the back of a donkey and to make him walk they tie a carrot on a stick in front of his eyes. The donkey thinks oh the carrot is near and he keeps walking with the hope of getting the carrot.

So with the lalasa of meeting Radha, Krsna also moves forward as He is always eager to meet Her. King during Caitanya Mahaprabhu’s time was Prataprudra. Caitanya Mahaprabhu never wanted to meet him as it’s thought that the king is materialistic. Caitanya Mahaprabhu once saw the king sweeping the road before ratha yatra with all humility.

Trinadapi sunichena..

Seeing his humility, Caitanya Mahaprabhu thought there is no problem in meeting such a king. I would like to meet him. So as Caitanya Mahaprabhu thought that was enough and all arrangements were made.

So as ratha yatra was going on, on the way there is Jagannath Vallabha Udyana ratha stopped and the Lord was being offered bhoga. That time Caitanya Mahaprabhu went to Jagannath Vallabha garden and lied down. And Sarvabhauma Bhattacharya said to the king, “Hey, this is the time go go.” The devotees tried a lot that Caitanya Mahaprabhu should meet the king but He never agreed. But now Caitanya Mahaprabhu wanted to meet him. And when u meet, serve His lotus feet and while serving you sing Gopi Geet.

While Caitanya Mahaprabhu is lying down, the king comes and starts serving His lotus feet and sings Gopi Geet. Jayate te dhikam….and singing he reached the 9th verse…

Tava Kathaamritam tapta jeevanam kavi bhiriditam kalma shaap-ham,
Shrawan-mangalam shrimadaa tatam bhuvi grinanti te bhurida janaah.

So last line of this sloka Gopis say bhuvi grananti te bhurida jana.

The Vishnujana by reciting Hari Katha gives jivana dana to the suffering ones. Bhurida Jana..they are all magnanimous.  Caitanya Mahaprabhu says who ever you are very udara. Gopi Geet is also glorification of Krsna lila. I am thankful to you. Your have recited Krsna katha for me. Thank you.

Prabhupada when went to the West, he said, “I have not come here to take, but to give something.”

So Caitanya Mahaprabhu is saying you have recited Gopi Geet for me. I am grateful to you. I also want to give you something but I am sannyasi and I don’t have anything to give you. I can do one thing and Caitanya Mahaprabhu stood up. Will you accept my embrace? That’s what I have. Caitanya Mahaprabhu hugged king Prataprudra.

Then what is left to give? The Lord has given Himself to the king like Krsna had said Arjuna and Duryodhana, “Take my army or me.” Arjuna took Krsna and army/ Narayani sena was taken by Duryodhana.

Hanuman came with the news that he has found sita Maiya. When Rama heard this, He said, “I am Vanavasi, I don’t have anything to give you. So accept my embrace, oh Hanuman.” And He embraced Hanuman. Jai Sri Rama.

Today is disappearance day of Srila Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Thakur. We mostly sing a bhajan by Narottam Das Thakur.

Je anilo Prem dhana karuna prachura…

This is his own experience. He wanted to meet the associates of Caitanya Mahaprabhu; who had entered the nityalila of the Lord. Now I can’t meet them. This was thought of Narottam Das Thakur and he wrote this bhajan. Those acaryas have brought prema dhana and they distributed the prema dhana but they have left this world. So remembering Narrotam Das Thakur and Bhakti Siddhant Sarasvati Thakur we will sing.

Bhakti Siddhanat Saraswati Thakur is my Param Guru. Srila Prabhupada is my Guru. Bhakti Siddhant Saraswati Thakur was born in Jagannath Puri. His house is on the Grant road. His father Bhakti Vinoda Thakur was district magistrate that time. When Bhakti Siddhanta Sarasvati Thakur was born, Bhakti Vinoda Thakur said, “its mercy of Vimaladevi so he was named as Vimalaprasad. He was also called as Ray of Vishnu. Filled with power of bhakti- Bhakti Siddhanta. He established Gaudiya Matha. He had 1000s of disciples. He wrote many books and commentaries. Abhaya Caran when he met Bhakti Siddhanta Sarasvati Thakur in Calcutta in 1922 in a dharma sabha, Bhakti Siddhanta Sarasvati Thakur said to him, “You look very intelligent; you must preach the message of the Lord in the West in English language.”

Srila Prabhupada used to live at Prayag Raj. He was a grahasta and had his Dye pharmacy. Bhakti Siddhanta Sarasvati Thakur was in Vraja mandal parikrama in 1922. One day there was an announcement that there are two options, those who want to go for parikrama can go for parikrama, and those who want to stay back, Bhakti Siddhant Sarasvati Thakur will have katha. Prabhupada waited that time to hear katha from Bhakti Siddhanta Sarasvati Thakur.

Abhay Babu was getting initiated in 1933, Bhakti Siddhanta Sarasvati Thakur said, “I know him. He hears katha with all attention.”

Bhakti Siddhanta Sarasvati Thakur once met Abhay baba at bank of Radhakunda and said, “Print and distribute books.”
Bhakti Siddhanta Sarasvati Thakur has his bhajan kutir in Jagannath Puri on the way to Tota Gopinath. Today also it’s there. There is chatak parvat. Caitanya Mahaprabhu saw it and thought its Govardhana and ran towards it.

A.C. does not mean air conditioner, but it means Abhaya Caranaravinda Bhakti Vedanta Swami Prabhupada. Bhakti Siddhanta Sarasvati Thakur said to Prabhupada in 1936, “If you ever get money, print books.”

Bhakti Siddhanta Sarasvati Thakur’s samadhi is in Mayapur in Caitanya Guadiya Matha. If Bhakti Siddhanta Sarasvati Thakur was not there then there would be no ISKCON. And even we would not have been there. Bhakti Siddhanta Sarasvati Thakur established 64 gaudiya Matha.Out of them 60 matha are in India and 4 are out of India. There was a prediction that devotees from all over the world will come to Mayapur and sing.

Jaya Sachinandan Gaura Hari.

Did you take darsana of Jagannath?? Hari Bol. Did you hear ?? Hari Bol. Did you think ?
When today we had gone for darsana to Jagannath temple, we saw Vatavruksha. Did you also see? Hari Bol. There was special darsana there.

vatsa patrasya puteshayami balam mukundam mansa smarami. U must have seen… bala Mukunda. Mukunda means one who gives mukti. He is sucking His own great toe. The Lord thinks all my devotees serve my feet, my feet must be very sweet. So the Lord Himself is sucking His own feet. I want to meditate on that form. This was the prayer of Maitreya Muni.

He had benediction that he will live for 7 kalpa. The Lord is called vithala tu veda kumbhar. One poet has sung this oh vitthal kumbhar meaning Potter. U make pots and you break your own pots. You are a mad potter. We all are his pots. Some small and some big.

So Maitreya Muni was given benediction but that became curse for him. He was alone floating on water of annihilation. The water was not silent but full of big waves and currents, he was being thrown all over. He saw one tree in that water. He came near that vat vruksha. There he saw a small baby.. kara ravinde padaravinde..

He was having darsana. I want to say that same tree is there in the court yard of jagannath temple. Meaning this dhama is eternal.

Even during annihilation, dhama is as it is, eternal. There is no bhutva bhutva praliyate… There is no creation or destruction of dhama.. it’s eternal.

We will go tomorrow to Tota Gopinath. He is very attractive and attracts our hearts. So He is called Mana Mohana. Kamadev attracts everyone but Krsna attracts him Lord is called cupid of the cupid.

Kandarba koti kamaniya vishsesa Shobha.. Kamadev had arrow of flowers in his hand. He attacks the youth. You must have seen the sign, a heart and within there is a arrow. so that arrow is of Kamdev. Then gaye kama se…!!
But the Lord attracts such cupid.

Tota Gopinath Temple, Radha Rani is there playing veena also Lalita is there. Baladev is having white complexion and to his sides are Revati and Varuni. Pancha tattva.. Gadadhara is ansa of Radharani. So together Caitanya Mahaprabhu and Gadadhar are called Gaura Gadadhara. Like Radha krsna.

There are many Gaura Gadadhar temples. So that Gadadhara. Oh I m Radha Rani as i am female, but I can’t stay with Krsna all the time, so she appears as Gadadhar.

Then they spent lot of time together. They both were friends and stated at Mayapur. Fulflged radha rani is in cmp. And in ansa form she comes as Gadadhar.

Balarama hoile Nitai…

Vishvarupa is also Balarama.
*Dauji ka bhaiya Krsna kanaya..*

Dauji means elder brother. Visvarupa was elder brother of Caitanya Mahaprabhu. So Radha Rani has two forms and also Balarama also has two forms.

*Caitanya Mahaprabhu was travelling and preaching for 6 years.*

Hare Krsna name Gaura karila prachar

After His yatra, He stayed for 18 years in Jagannath puri. But Gadadhar Pundit never left Puri. He stayed at Tota Gopinath temple. He used to recite Bhagavatam Katha and to hear cmp used to go from Gambhira to Totagopinath.

Caitanya Mahaprabhu was a good listener and he used to hear with all attention. When Gadadhar would recite Katha, He would have astavikar and His Bhagavatam would become wet with His tears.

There are so many acharyas, pure devotees of the Lord in the world. Jesus, the son of God.. Some people take him as God. Good, it’s a good sign, we are happy. But in Gaudiya sampradaya there are so many sons also daughters of God. Hari Bol.

They have one Jesus and we have 1000s of Jesus. Gaudiya sampradaya is enriched with so many acaryas. They are not just saddhan siddha but they are nitya Siddha.

Prabhupada says when king comes his body guards and his whole entourage also comes.

So out of those acaryas one is Gadadhar and few of them are very special. They are not jivatma. Caitanya Mahaprabhu and Nityananda are God. Advaita Acharya is Sasha Shiva. Gadadhar is Radha rani. Srivas is Narada muni… Shaktyavesha avatar.

So we learn from their teachings and instructions. And we all are getting Benefitted with ISKCON establishment. All the acaryas came with prema dhana. Caitanya Mahaprabhu said, “I can’t distribute so many fruits of Krsna prema. Help me in distributing Krsna prema.” The acaryas are distributors of Krsna prema. Now the responsibility of distributing Krsna prema lies on all of you. So only you are called for yatras.

Amar agya guru haiya tara yei desh
jare dakho tare kaho Krsna upadesh.

At another time Caitanya Mahaprabhu said…
bharat bumite janma jara..
kari kara paropkar…

‘Paropakaram Vahanti Nadya, Paropakaram Duhanti Gaaya,
Paropakaram Phalanti Vriksha, Paropakaram Idam Shareeram’

Meaning ‘Rivers flow for Paropkar, Cows give milk for Paropkar, Trees bear fruits for Paropkar, similarly this body is also meant for Paropkar’. Paropkar –welfare of others without expecting anything in return by them. ”

Ami to kangal Krsna Krsna Bali….

People will come to you please give us Krsna. So those who have Krsna should give Krsna to those who don’t have.
Srila Prabhupada used to play with Saraswati small daughter of Malati mataji. She had a doll. Prabhupada used to hide that Krsna doll and Prabhupada used to ask her where is Krsna?? Saraswati used to say…

Prabhupada you have Krsna, please give me Krsna. So those who have Krsna can give Krsna to others.
Caitanya Mahaprabhu entered in the deity of Tota Gopinath and stopped His lilas.

Eka kale kotha gela gora nataraj…

Narottam Thakur writes. Where Caitanya Mahaprabhu has gone??

Caitanyaa Mahaprabhu used to hear Bhagvat katha from Gadadhar. Like that Srivas Thakur wanted to hear Bhagvat from Gadadhar. But Gadadhar said, “I want to read for you, but my Bhagavat is torn and not in good condition. So please get one copy for me.”

Caitanya Mahaprabhu got Bramha Samhita in South India and Krsna Karnamrita in Satara. Srivas thakur brought a copy but as he returned Gadadhar was no more. Caitanya Mahaprabhu used to hear Dhruva caritra.

Hye Radhe Braja Devakicha Lalite…

Hye Radhe where are you..? With this bhava Sad Goswami used to move in Vrndavan. Caitanya Mahaprabhu was also in same bhava, Oh! Krsna where r you? He started digging sand…. He got the mukut of Krsna. He again started digging and found face of Krsna. He called gadai gadai come here and both of them pulled the deity out. And Caitanya Mahaprabhu gifted that deity to Gadadhar. And named him Tota Gopinath. Tota means garden as He was found in garden.

So Gadadhar was pujari of Tota Gopinath. And Caitanya Mahaprabhu one day entered Tota Gopinath.
